Q. I've tried glycerine soap before - how does yours compare to others?
A. All glycerine soaps are not created equally. Our soap is 100% real soap and not a combination of detergents and or surfactants, which are erroneously called soap. Surfactants and detergents are derived from crude mineral oil ("motor" oil). By blending them, a synthetic detergent bar is produced. These bars foam and wash well, may even be made in a transparent form, but deteriorate the skin with time. Their damaging action on the skin is usually diminished by the introduction of some additives which reduce this negative effect. Our glycerine soap is a superior form of soap. It is made of pure vegetable oils (no animal testing or products) and contains a high percentage of glycerine. Glycerine is known for its property to keep on moisturizing the skin as the glycerine particles in the pores of the skin keep attracting atmospheric humidity. Other moisturizers and emollients are also used to ensure a gentle, non-drying cleansing bar. Try our soap and you will notice the wonderful difference a pure glycerine soap brings to your skin. Our soaps are:

Q. Can your soap be used in the shower?
A. Absolutely! The color and fragrance are a very pleasurable way to wake up in the morning! And your skin will thank you. You may find that you have less of a need for expensive lotions since the soap is so gentle. Please keep the soap high and dry - on a soap dish that drains - out of the spray of the shower. This will ensure that your soap lasts a maximum amount of time.

Q. Can this soap be used on children?
A. Yes, the soap can be used on people of all ages.

Q. Do you offer kits for home parties?
A. Yes! Home parties are lots of fun, and you and your guests are able to try out some of the products before they buy. Call us for details.

Q. Do you have any soap for men?
A. One of my best male customers loves the apricot freesia! However, the favorites of my male customers are bay rum 'n' lime, vanilla, cappuccino, Polo type, citrus splash and Nautical type. And be sure to check out our golf and tennis soaps!

Q. Can I order custom products?
A. We aim to please, and can make just about anything your heart desires! Just ask!

Q. How long will it take to receive my order?
A. Our backlog is generally between 5 and 8 business days. If you are in a rush for your order, please let us know and we will try to fulfill your request.

Q. Do you do soaps for weddings or showers?
A. Yes, we love making these types of soaps. There are special soaps in the Molded Soaps section for weddings and showers.

Q. I'm local, can I pick up my purchases?
A. Yes! We will call you when your order is ready. 

Q. What is your return policy?
A. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, and the fact that we cannot control the products once they leave our studio, we cannot accept returns. However, if something arrives damaged, please let us know within 3 days and we will work with the shipper to make it right for you.

Q. Why does my slice of soap look different than the one in the picture?
A. The loaves of soap are frequently made with chunks of soap that are dispersed throughout the loaf. Each slice may look different within each loaf, and loaves will also vary due to the fact that they are handcrafted.

Q. What are your shipping charges?

Q. What shipper do you use?
A. For small packages, we use either USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail. For larger items, we use Fedex Ground.

Q. Do you sell wholesale?
A. We certainly do. For wholesale information, please call.

Q. Is your site secure? I want to use a credit card.
A. We use a secure site for our credit card processing. 

Q. Do you sell internationally?
A. No.

Q. Are you a green, socially responsible company?
A. We use recycled boxes and recycled clean packing peanuts and bubble wrap a great deal of the time. We also support local charities by giving gift baskets to their auctions. We also give away many dozens of pounds of soap a year to local charities that give services to people that need temporary housing.

Q. Do you have a catalog that you could send me?
A. Our "web catalog" is all that we have. We keep adding products frequently and it would render a print catalog obsolete so quickly.

Q. How is your soap packaged?
A. Unless stated otherwise, our soaps are packaged in a clear stretch wrap with a label on the back.

Q. What is your privacy policy?
A. At Soapourri™, we take your right to privacy seriously and want you to feel comfortable using our website. We capture your personal information when you place an order. We do not share that information with anyone. Ever. The personal information that we save on our server does not include your credit card information, which is kept on a Secure Server at the credit card processing company.
